string theory is an ongoing catalogue of a piece of string on the floor of the gnat disasters studio. as the string shifts each day through ordinary, and sometimes unordinary movement, its changing form is documented and translated into a line drawing

each configuration becomes a kind of accidental divination - a visual reading considering what the shape suggests for the day ahead. the drawings are then set in motion as short animations and published as an evolving series.
